Episode 1.
The story began when Vuyo was opening her Facebook on her phone. She was a member of a group called “Unity of Zulu Kingdom” *It is non-existent, do not bother searching for it*. It was a group mainly made up of Zulu people from all over the country, she being a Zulu girl herself, enjoyed the company of other people speaking the same language as her and like most members of that group, she always went to the group first thing whenever she opened her Facebook.
Siyabonga (wall post): Our girls are so beautiful though, we love you UZK(short for Unity of Zulu Kingdom ) ladies. If I had powers I would go around kissing all of you on your behinds, just to show how much I appreciate you all.

Sifiso: Do that bro just make sure you stay away from other people’s women.
Siyabonga: *Kisses Vuyo’s bum cheek* @Neli don’t die, show me that booty girl, lol. @Sfiso I am not going to steal anyone, just going to kiss and run. So chill.
Above is just an example of a typical wall post in that group. Everyone seemed to be having fun, every day and even at night. They even played relationships, I am sure you guys know about it here on Facebook. You find someone and pretend to be in a relationship with and you play “houses” in the group. That kind of stuff happened on that group too. It was really fun.
Vuyo was living in Pretoria Mamelodi and she did not know any members of the group that lived in Pretoria as well. So she had never met even a single member in person, and there wasn’t any member that came from the same location she was from in New Castle. So she did not know anyone in person. She only knew the names.
Vuyo (wall post): Will be in Sammy marks today, anyone wants to meet?
She did not get any comments, she however got an inbox from Nompilo. “I will also be in town, we can meet briefly” and the two girls arranged to meet on that day and they did.
They met
Nompilo: Hahaha, so this is you. You look so short in person.
Vuyo: Hahahahahaha, this is average height for ladies, uwe omude ngathi uyahlanya (you are the one who is tall like crazy). *They laughed together*
Mpilo: You know I have never met anyone from UZK, you are the first one ever.
Vuyo: You are lying, not even guys?
Mpilo: Nope, nothing. I know Neli lives here around but I never got to meet her. Only chat to her sometimes via inbox. What about you? Ever met anyone?
Vuyo: Noone, you are the first one too.
Mpilo: That is not good shame
Vuyo: I agree, we should all have a get together, just us here in Pretoria. It would be nice.
Mpilo: Agreed.
They continued chatting about other things from group and after sometime they went their separate ways. When Vuyo got home she started chatting to Nompilo and the two of them clicked very well. They even stood up for each other in the group. If someone attacks one of them the other would defend. It was nice.
“Going to meet Syabonga today during lunch, he is coming to my work” Vuyo got an inbox from Mpilo on a certain morning. Vuyo assumed that Mpilo was talking about the Siyabonga from UZK who happened to be very friendly but before that day, neither of the girls had spoken to him privately until he asked to meet with Nompilo. “Mm, wow that is cool, you get to add to your collection, send my greetings to him.” Vuyo said.
After lunch the ladies chatted again via inbox, “I saw him, he is so cute.” Mpilo said to Vuyo
Vuyo: What did you expect, all Zulu guys are handsome, you should know that. So what happened?
Mpilo: Nothing much, we talked a bit then my lunch break was over. But yhoo, he was really charming.
Vuyo: mmm, your type neh?
Mpilo: Most definitely. But I don’t think he feels the same way. Besides I can never trust those guys from UZK.
Vuyo: Why not? They are people too. Ever heard anything bad about them?
Mpilo: Nothing, I can’t lie. Not forgetting that Sya is the first one I ever met. And anyway I am sure he is not the only cute, nicely built, my type kind of guy I will ever meet. There will be others.
Vuyo: Lol, if you say so.
Vuyo was really wondering what it would be like to date one of those guys from the group, not that she was looking, but she was really curious. Anyway just like Nompilo, after she met with Nompilo she also became curious and wanted to meet more and more people from the group, girls and guys. At the time she was playing the dating game in the group with Sfiso.

**This story will mostly have a social network setting. So I hope you guys will bear with me as I explore this kind of writing. I must say, it is not easy at all and getting this off the ground has had to be the hardest thing I ever had to do since I started writing
Touch base.
This is a story that is based on Facebook and Whatsapp (but mainly on Facebook groups). So the following episode is going to introduce a lot of characters all in one bulk. I know there hasn’t been any character development so far and we all do not know the characters so well. But that is the thing when you join a facebolok group you do not get an author or narrator to explain each and every individual as to who they are, you get to know about them as you engage yourself more in that group.
So when reading this entire story, just imagine you were on a Facebook group and you know how comments go. One person answers the other who has commented 4 messages earlier and the next person responds to one before, like that. That is how it is going to be with this story as well.
Just giving you a heads up so you can keep up, especially those who are not used to groups.
And another point to get you prepared for the next episode, let me just touch base on the characters that we have already seen
1. Vuyo, we will be looking at the entire story from her angle, she is not necessarily the main character, as per definition; but more of a narrator of a story that she is also part of.
2. Nompilo, a girl she has met and became friends with though the Unity of Zulu Kingdom - Facebook group
3. Siyabonga, a guy we have already seen talking about how he thinks girls from UZK are beautiful and he has met with Nompilo. She has admitted to be attracted to him.
4. Sifiso, a guy whom we have seen commenting on Siyabonga’s post about beautiful girls, and we also learned that he is in a virtual play relationship with Vuyo.
5. Neli, we do not know much about her so far, only that she is also in UZK and she lives in Pretoria as well.
So when you see the above characters along with the rest of the other ones that are going to be introduced in the next episode, just remember who they are.
Episode 2
Sfiso (wall post): Anyone seen my wife? I miss her right now

Siyabonga: I am still busy with her mfethu, as soon as we are done she will come to you
Madoda: shame, nawe sewunomuntu bandla? (You are also in a relationship?).
Nompilo: I will tell her, she is busy right now.
Sfiso: You would vomit your intestines Sya, I am telling you boy. @Madoda angishimanga nje ngawe phela mina (I am not a loner like you). @Mpilo, what is she busy with while I need her right now?
Siyabonga: Mpilo, beautiful girl, it is the first time I see a real person today, as I see you. How are you angel?
Nompilo: #blushing, I am okay Siyabonga, just a bit cold. How are you?
Vuyo: #rushingInside, Sfiso wami (my Sfiso). How are you my one and only? I did not even finish what I was doing because I am missing you too. @Mpilo, hello my friend, no one tried their luck with my man up in here, right?
Madoda: Shame, I am sure she was just feeling sorry for you Fistas, you are not even her type.
Siyabonga: @Mpilo, haw, how can you be cold? I am right here to make you warm. Come on over for a cup of hot chocolate. @Sfiso, was just kidding bro, my focus has just shifted. Besides Vuyo is too loud for my liking. She would wake all the neighbours.
Neli: Siyabonga, what is happening here?
Madoda: Ayeye! Trouble in paradise
Siyabonga: *hides*
Nompilo: *not looking at Neli tongue emoticon * @Vuyo, no one tried my friend. We would sort her out immediately phela. @Sya can I still come? Hahahahahahahaha.
*The convo went on with Vuyo defending herself and her virtual relationship with Sfiso. Madoda making fun of them and Mpilo, Siyabonga had been in a virtual relationship with Neli and after she (Neli) was also in that post, Siyabonga stopped commenting. Vuyo and Mpilo were chatting on whatsapp at the same time.*
Vuyo (on WhatsApp): Neli will kill you, lol.
Mpilo: Hahahahahaha, what have I done? Heh, I have news, I am dating Siyabonga.
Vuyo: Really? What happened to “guys from UZK are not good enough”?
Mpilo: Ah, what can I say, his charm is just too strong, turns out he has hots for me too, so we are there.
Vuyo: Oh well, what can I say? I am happy for you.
Mpilo: I think I am happy too.
Vuyo: Will you be okay with him playing dates with Neli in the group though?
Mpilo: I will be fine, it is just a game.
*mean while Vuyo got an inbox from Sfiso*
Sfiso: Hey love
Vuyo: hahahahaha hello, what’s up?
Sfiso: Nothing really, why are you laughing? Lol.
Vuyo: No, I think you made a mistake and thought we are still in the group, and you called me “love” lol.
Sfiso: lmao, I see. But is there a problem if I call you that even in private?
Vuyo: lol, I don’t know.
Sfiso: Anyway, I know we are playing in the group but I think I am really starting to fall for you. Know what I mean?
Vuyo: Hah Sfiso, and then?
Sfiso: Really, but it can be controlled. Don’t you want to chat o WhatsApp?
Vuyo: Okay no problem, my umber is *****
Vuyo wondered if Sfiso really meant what he had just said, but then she was like “whatever”. And Sfiso did send her a whatsapp “hi” but they did not chat much.
Back in the group, there was another post.
Fikiswa (wall post): There is an as$ hole in this group that if I were to see him again would cut off his small penis and feed it to the dogs

Nompilo (wall post): Guys, what are Pretorians doing on Junne 16, which is like 2 months from now? I think we should have a g2g here

Siyabonga: Sounds great, I would come all the way from Jhb, I don’t mind.
Madoda: What about us who would like to come but are in Dbn?
Sfiso: Madoda, if you were a girl and I was not married I would accommodate you, but unfortunately ushimile nje, no girl wants you

Episode 3
Nompilo (on WhatsApp): Do you think it is really a good idea to do this g2g for Pretorians?
Vuyo: Most certainly, it would be nice to meet everyone who is around here and get to put faces on the names.
Nompilo: Me too I want it to happen. I wish people really mean it when they say when they are showing so much interest.
Vuyo: And you cannot really confirm them shame. And as far as I know there has never been a g2g in that group, not even in Durban where most people are, so if we can do it here it would be the first one.
Mpilo: I got an inbox from Neli, she says it’s a good idea too and she gave me a few suggestions. That is promising, neh?
Vuyo: Indeed, maybe you should create a whatsapp group for all Pretoria people so we can be able to all communicate
Mpilo: I will try.
Vuyo: How are things between you and Sya?
Mpilo: They are great and I am happy that he suggested we keep our relationship away from the group wall. Did you see Fikiswa’s wall post yesterday? I seriously never want to be like that.
Vuyo: Who was she talking about anyway?
Mpilo: No idea, but rumour has it that she has been going out with Nhlanhla.
Vuyo: Nhlanhla? I thought he lived in Mpumalang, isn’t Fikiswa based in Durban?
Mpilo: Yeap, maybe they had been travelling. I wonder what happened between the two of them.
Vuyo: Tjo, so you and Sya are keeping it private?
Mpilo: Yeap, you are the only one from my side that knows, I don’t know if he has told anyone. But we are keeping it away from the group wall.
Vuyo: I guess it’s good, last thing you need is to be a topic of people who have ran out of things to say to each other.
Meanwhile Vuyo was chatting to Sfiso on WhatsApp still
Sfiso: So can you send me your pic?
Vuyo: No, just check my Facebook timeline, I have plenty there.
Sfiso: I would like to see recent ones.
Vuyo: Nah, maybe I should just see you in person, you live in Pretoria mos?
Sfiso: No, I live in North West, but I come to Pretoria once in a while, even next weekend I will be in Mamelodi
Vuyo: Wow really? I live in Mamelodi too
Sfiso: Oh that is cool, then maybe I will see you.
Vuyo: I cannot believe that I have never seen you and you have been coming here.
Sfiso: We should have started chatting private sooner.
Vuyo: Who else lives around here? Those people in Nompilo’s post about g2g, do they live here as well or they were just joking?
Sfiso: I know Siyabonga lives in Jhb, Musa lives in Mamelodi as well, and I normally hang with him when I am in Mams. Neli lives in Pretoria as well, Ntuthu is Neli’s roommate. I am not sure where they live
Vuyo: wow, there is really quite a lot of us, we should do the g2g
Sfiso: Ya you should. I might come too.

Nompilo (wall post): All those who would like to go to the g2g here in Pretoria on June 16, please give me your WhatsApp numbers.

Neli: I will inbox you the ones I have.
The whatsapp group was created and there were about 14 people participating, Neli, Ntuthu (her roommate), Vuyo, Nompilo, Lindiwe and 2 more girls. Guys were Siyabonga, Musa, Sfiso, Nathi and 3 more. So they discussed a few basics for the upcoming g2g then after stared chatting in general.
Lindiwe, was the girl who hardly ever posted on the group wall, but she was surprisingly active on the new WhatsApp group. At some point on that day she sent Vuyo a private message on whatsapp
Lindy: Hey, so you guys are really going to do this hey?
Vuyo: That is right. Well I can only hope it will be a success, will you come?
Lindy: I will come, but only if Musa will be there as well.
Vuyo: Hawu, why him? Is he your man or something? Lol
Lindy: Yes, he is and I will just be coming to guard him, hahahahahaha
Vuyo: hahahahaha, I see. He seems eager to go, so I gues nizoza nobabili (both of you will come).
Lindy: ya, we will see.
Vuyo immediately private chatted to Mpilo
Vuyo: Did you know Lindy was dating Musa?
Mpilo: Hahaha, I know, she just told me now, she been saying she will go to the g2g only if he is going so she can guard him.
Vuyo; hahahaha, it must be her thing then, because she told me the same thing. Hahahaha. Well good for her, she is letting all of us know so we can stay away.
Mpilo: Yeap, look at her whatsapp profile picture
(Lindiwe had her and Musa as her profile pic, but that disappeared in less than an hour for some reason.)
Episode 4
Vuyo was chatting to Sfiso more frequently then, especially then that they were going to go to the g2g. She was beginning to like him, he was so nice and always made her laugh. Even on the group wall he gave her more attention and always complimented her. She was really starting to like him.
On whatsapp>>
Sfiso: So where are you right now?
Vuyo: just got home and I am so lazy to cook right now
Sfiso: Would you have preferred a take away?
Vuyo: Yes, but nothing is closer
Sfiso: But they sell really good kota around your section, go get one
Vuyo: Maybe I will just have bread.
Sfiso: I am here, let me grab you something I will bring it to your place
Vuyo: hahahahah, I wish.
Sfiso: I am serious, remember I said I was going to come to Mamsi over the weekend? Well I did. But Musa will only be home later. I have time to kill.
Vuyo: Yhooo! I am surprised.
Sfiso: If you do not want to see me it is okay then, maybe you don’t have your hair done, hahahahaha
Vuyo: No I am cool. Where are you? I will come there. You cannot come here.
Sfiso told her where he was, he was in some tarvern around where Vuyo was living, and she was just going to walk there. Vuyo had seen Sfiso’s pictures before from facebook, but in person he looked really handsome. He had smooth skin and was dressed really good. His perfume was also killing her softly as they hugged “hello”. Wow. She remembered how she hadn’t been with a guy physical for some time, but quickly brushed the thought away.
Sfiso seemed shy in person though. Not fly at all like when they text. “You are so shy, hahahahaha” she said, not sure if that was the right thing to say. “I know I am, hahahahaha. I am that guy that hides behind the phone” he said shyly while laughing a little. They chatted for a while, it was Friday and he bought her one cider as she said she did not want to get drunk. He also bought food for both of them. Musa called that he was back around past 7, but Sifiso and Vuyo still chilled till before 9 then he accompanied her to her place then went to Musa.
On whatsapp, Vuyo could not wait to tell Nompilo how charmed she was.
Mpilo: Oh, so you want to come this side as well (the jollying side)? Well I don’t think it is a bad idea, I mean I am doing it so why shouldn’t you.
Vuyo: I am going to tell him that I am crushing on him so bad
Mpilo: Don’t do that, hahahaha. I don’t think that is a great idea, rather wait for him.
Vuyo: Okay, but if he does not say anything I will propose him, lol.
Mpilo: Ya, give him some time. By the way, Syabonga was around town today and he was with Musa.
Vuyo: Wow really? Sfiso is at Musa’s place right now.
Mpilo: Ya, Syabonga said they were all going to be together tonight, and I saw Lindiwe as well, it was sort of a short double date, her with Musa and me with Sya
Vuyo: Ncoooh, how cute. I am sure Lindiwe feels a lot better now that she knows you are with Sya. Hahahaha.
**Meanwhile Vuyo was chatting to Sfiso as well
Sfiso: I hope you were as charmed by me, just like I was by you. You are so beautiful
Vuyo: Awww, really? I am so flattered; thanks
Sfiso: yes really, I would like to see you again and maybe pursue something with you. Do you remember when I told you I was developing real feelings for you?
Vuyo: Ya, I remember.
Sfiso: I see you do not have much to say, angifuni ukukuxosha (I don’t want to chase you away), forget what I said.
Vuyo: Aw, okay
Back to Nompilo still on whatsapp
Mpilo: You know Neli has been talking to me, she says she thinks some people will not make it to the g2g
Vuyo: Why?
Mpilo: She did not want to tell me, but I told her I will be there; I and you will be there whether it is just the 2 of us, and she said that is the same story with her and Ntuthu, they will be there raining or not. So at least we know for sure that the four of us will be there.
Vuyo: Imagine only 4 of us, lol. I think people will come seriously.
The following Sunday before Sfiso left he asked to see Vuyo, she agreed and she said it was okay he could come to her place as she was exhausted. When he had come and they were chilling she posted on the group wall “Vuyo checked in at Mamelodi – with Sifiso” then she switched off her data and focused on Sfiso.
Needless to say, the 2 of them made a foundation for what Vuyo thought might be a relationship (they had sex). Then after that Sfiso left in the afternoon. Vuyo opened her data again and opened her facebook. Four notifications and one inbox. She started with the notifications.
They were likes on her check-in and comments on that same posts, the others were random. She opened the comments.
Madoda: Nenzani lapho (what are you doing there)
Mpilo: I hope it is just for drinks, hahahahaha. Hola chomee
Fikiswa: I would be damned.
Mpilo: What do you mean Fikiswa?
Fikiswa: nothing, just thinking out loud, let me unfollow this post before I say something I will regret.
Madoda: Fikiswa learn to keep your thoughts inside.
Musa: *ezolalela* (hear to listen).
There were no more comments, Vuyo decided to open the inbox and before she could a WhatsApp from Sfiso came through
Sfiso: Hey sweet, when did you check-in? I did not know you did that.
Vuyo: I did it when you were here.
Sfiso: Oh, ya. Thing is I had told Musa that I was leaving, he will think I was lying to him.
Vuyo: No, don’t worry, I don’t think anyone took it that way. Just chill.
Episode 5
Sfiso did not say anything more after that, Vuyo saw she had some messages from Nompilo, she opened.
Mpilo: You and Sfiso? What were you up to? Tell me everything, do not leave anything out.
Mpilo: Where are you? Why are you not responding to your whatsapp? Syabonga just told me that he, Musa and Sfiso think we must not all go to the g2g, he said they will buy you, me and Lindiwe drinks so the 6 of us can just chill, what do you think?
Mpilo: Please answer me as soon as you get this, I know you were determined to go to the g2g, and I am too.
Vuyo: hello, so where should I begin? So many messages Nompilo? Lol
Mpilo: Hello, where have you been the whole day? Start with the get together, I told Syabonga I was going to discuss with you first.
Vuyo: tell him to tell his friends they must not be crazy, you are the one organising this thing, you cannot just not show up, besides we have already promised Ntuthu and Neli that we will be there.
Mpilo: Those were my thoughts exactly, now moving on to more important thing, you and Sfiso, what were you doing the whole day? You even had your phone off
Vuyo: Lol Mpilo, we were doing exactly what you are thinking tongue emoticon
Mpilo: Hah!! Lol wow, really? Hehehehe
Vuyo went on to check her long overdue inbox, it was from Fikiswa
Fikiswa: hello Vuyo, I know this is not even my place, but I am going to say it anyway because well whatever. Look here, Sfiso is bad news, do not date him, and do not sleep with him, do not do anything with him. I know I may already be too late but I will still tell you.
Sfiso is my boyfriend or ex, we are expecting a child together. But we have broken up because of all the sh*t he does with all these hoes from facebook, especially hoes from the UZK. So just thought I should warn you. Only God knows if he does not have HIV. Believe me if you want to.
Vuyo: gasp emoticon
Fiki: Well it is what it is, sorry if you already had plans with him, but all those plans are worthless because he is a jerk
Vuyo: Is he the one you were talking about and you wanted to cut off his penis?
Fiki: Well, I did not come here to talk about my personal life, I told you what I wanted to tell you, if you have anything else you need to know, go ask Sfiso. Bye
Vuyo was not sure what to do with the information, she did what felt best, she went and asked Nompilo
Mpilo: I think you should ignore Fikiswa, I think she is just bitter because her relationship with Nhlahla never worked out, now she wants to ruin it for everybody with lies.
Vuyo: But she says Sfiso got her pregnant, what if it is all true? Maybe I should ask Sfiso
Mpilo: Maybe ask him then, but I am almost sure she is just lying.
Vuyo: I will ask him, yhooo. I feel so bad already, I mean I have already had sex with him and all. What if it is all true?
Mpilo: Fikiswa has always been like she has short brains, I don’t think you should take it to the head what she said, but just ask Sfiso if that will make you feel better.
With Sfiso on Whatsapp
Vuyo: Sfiso do you mind that I checked in with you at UZK?
Sfiso: No, not really, I am over that. It just took me by a surprise, that’s all.
Vuyo: Fikiswa said you got her pregnant, how true is that?
Sfiso: What? That girl is crazy! There is no such thing. I have never even met her
Vuyo: Are you not lying right now? You have never even met her?
Sfiso: Never, I once chatted to her on Facebook inbox, but that was like a long time ago. She lives in Durban and I live I North West
Vuyo: Oh I see. Whow, I was really scared, I mean if there was something like that, you would tell me right?
Sfiso: Of cause I would tell you. Keeping secrets is not my thing.
Vuyo: I believe you. So what is this I hear about you and others not wanting to go to the g2g?
Sfiso: I just think it would be crowded and all, besides I think it would be more fun if we are all just indoors and just get drunk with people close to us, not everyone.
Vuyo: You are on your own, I am going, and so is Nompilo, if you guys are not coming then suit yourselves.
Sfiso: Ah, if you guys insist we will go. We would not let those predators be alone with you. Lol.
Vuyo: Now you are talking.
A week went past since those events, there were no new news from Mpilo and Syabonga; Neli and Mpilo were still pushing for the g2g to happen, even though people were no longer as enthusiastic as when the whatsapp group started, but the two girls were determined and did not give up. The facebook group as well carried on as normal.
Vuyo got an inbox from Musa
Musa: hey, what are you doing this weekend? Syabonga and Nompilo will be chilling with me, so they said. Since Mpilo is your friend can you come chill with us so I will not be the only one who is on the side?
Vuyo: hi, But why don’t you ask your girlfriend?
Musa: My gf?
Vuyo: Yes, her. Ask her to chill with you all.
Musa: She is not around, she went away for the weekend. Just come, we will chill in the afternoon then you can go in the evening
Vuyo: Ah, I am not sure. Wait
Vuyo sent a whatsapp to Mpilo
Vuyo: You will be with Sya and Musa this weekend?
Mpilo: yes, and OMG, I was going to ask you to come with me, so I will not be the only girl, will you come?
Vuyo: Ah, okay, I will be there, lol. But only because you will be there too.
*then she updated Musa*
Episode 6
At Musa’s place, Nomplilo, Vuyo and Musa were sitting waiting for Syabonga who was coming from Johannesburg. Vuyo was seeing Musa for the first time and she thought nothing about him. He was just okay, she thought. Another thing was she had not told Sifiso where she was because she had realised that Sfiso kept some of the stuff from Musa. They did not seem as close as Vuyo had imagined before.
Musa was fine to hang around with the girls, he was not shy and he made them talk, besides he had some wine for them while he drank his beer. Finally Syabonga arrived and he had more wine and they all chilled and just talked
Syabonga: So Vuyo, are you also very eager to go to the so called g2g on June 16?
Vuyo: Why are you saying it is a “so called” and yes I am going
Nompilo: Me too, I will so be there, it would be nice if you guys could come too
Musa: Ai, have you seen how Neli and Ntuthu always update about men and alcohol? Going out with those kinds of people may corrupt sweet angels like you two
Nompilo: It is not like we are stupid kids who will do as they tell us. We can take care of ourselves. If you guys don’t want to go then do not go.
Vuyo: But it would have been nice if they were there too. Anyway we will be fine even if they are not there. Bottom line is June 16 is happening.
The afternoon went on well, nobody got too drunk, however it got too late for Vuyo to take a taxi home and Syabonga said he could not take her as he and Mpilo had to go. Nompilo and Sya left while Vuyo was still arguing about the lift. Mpilo’s hands were tied as well because as much as she was drunk, she did not own a car.
So after they had left, Vuyo was left with Musa, and she opened her whatsapp and found Mpilo online
Vuyo: Taxis are still available neh? I am going to take a taxi, I don’t want to sleep here
Mpilo: yes, there are a few taxis, would it be safe though? It is very late.
Vuyo: I will take a taxi, and that’s it.
Musa spoke to her, “why do you look worried? You will be okay”. She replied, “I want to go. Nompilo is saying taxis are still available, please accompany me to the taxis”. “You must be crazy” he said. “If you are not crazy then you think I am crazy, there is no way I am letting you go out there at this time. You will sleep here and leave in the morning” he said
“Thing is, I know that if I sleep here then you will give me problems at night and I seriously do not have energy to wrestle through the night” she replied with a tough voice. “Ah come on, I would never do anything you do not want, just relax. You think I am going to rape you? Come on. I am not some facebook rapist” he begged.
“Okay, before I agree, you have to promise me that you will not bother me while we sleep” she said. “That is fine by me, I will even sleep on the floor” he promised. Then he borrowed her a t-shirt and was a gentleman enough to go outside while she changed. Then she got under the blankets and covered herself. She then whatsapped Mpilo updating her that she would be sleeping at Musa’s and Mpilo did not respond.
Musa came back and made a bed on the floor, then opened a movie on his pc. He then asked if she did not want to watch, she asked what movie it was and it was her favourite. She wanted to watch and he said they were going to watch on the bed, so then he was on the bed.
An hour went past and Musa started put his arm around Vuyo’s shoulder. She thought nothing of that. Then out of nowhere he tried to kiss her, which she refused.
Musa: What’s wrong?
Vuyo: What did I say and what did you promise?
Musa: What are you talking about?
Vuyo: You see now? I hate this! Please just let me sleep (she pulled away and went to the edge of the bed and covered herself.)
Musa: now you are behaving like a kid.
The wrestling began, Musa wanted her, Vuyo did not want him, not at all. So she pushed with all her power, she even became 100% sober at that moment. “So why don’t you want me? Am I not good enough for you?” he asked. “I have plenty of reasons, one being you have a girlfriend and I know her. Do I look like a side dish material to you?” She said, raising her voice. “Don’t shout, what will the neighbours think?” he said.
“Hayi fusek man (piss off)!!, I wanted to go and you promised you were not going to bother me! What are you doing now?” she said still her voice was raised. “Well it is not my fault that you are irresistible hot and sexy”. He said trying to touch her body softly. “Leave me alone!!” she said beating his hand away. Then she stood up and got off the bed and she went toward the door. He did not move from the bed. She stood by the door and checked her phone, it was already midnight and even if taxis were still available, there was no way she would go out there. But what was she to do.
She looked at him “I am going to sleep on the floor, please do not bother me” she said. “The floor is not comfy, come sleep on the bed, I will sleep on the floor”. “NO!!” she said. “And you bother me again I swear to God I will go ask for a place to sleep from your neighbours”. She said putting on her jeans and approaching the floor. He did not bother her again. He just told her they will talk in the morning. She hoped he was going to tell her he did all of that because he was drunk.
How could he, really how could he do that, he knew that she knew he was dating Lindiwe, and from what had been happening the past few weeks, he at least knew that there was something going on between her and Sfiso… She fell asleep
Episode 7
The following day Vuyo went to her room and on the way she was texting Mpilo.
Nompilo: How could he do that? I mean he has Lindiwe.
Vuyo: I am wondering the same thing, more so there is Sfiso, why would he try that while Sfiso is his friend? I don’t get it
Nompilo: maybe it is because he was drunk and you know how guys are when they have to spend a night with you as a girl, most of them cannot go through it that easy.
Vuyo: you have a point there, but still, it does not justify anything.
Vuyo got a whatsapp text from Musa
Musa: Did you go well?
Vuyo: yes, I am home, thanks
Musa: About last night, do you really just don’t like me?
Vuyo: What? Are you still on about that? Dude what is wrong with you?
Musa: I like you Vuyo, what do you want me to do?
Vuyo: You have a girlfriend
Musa: Hold up, who is this girlfriend that you keep referring to?
Vuyo: Are you kidding me right now?
Musa: I am being serious
Vuyo; Lindiwe, I know about her.
Musa: Oh come on, you mean her? There is nothing going on there. Did Nompilo tell you that? Because I was with them the other day. No, Lindiwe is not my girlfriend, really.
Vuyo: I am not stupid. Please just stop this nonsense! What is wrong with you? You are a pig, seriously
Musa: Hahahaha now you are swearing at me for speaking the truth?
Vuyo: Please leave me alone.

Vuyo: OMG! Musa just denied having Lindiwe as a girlfriend
Mpilo: What? What did he say?
Vuyo: He is saying you are making it up or you read it wrong the other day
Mpilo: But he is lying for sure, they were kissing and everything, besides that, Lindiwe told us already. What a pig!
Vuyo: tell me about it.
The following Monday when Vuyo woke up she saw that Sfiso was tagged on some photo by Fikiswa on her (Fikiswa) wall.
Fikiswa (caption): we may have our ups and down, troubles and challenges, but we always end up together. If you are made for each other, nothing can stop you. This is what is called love
Vuyo noticed that the photo looked recent, Sfiso had always had dreads and he had just cut them a few weeks back and in that photo he did not have dreads. That was it for Vuyo, she did not have energy to talk to him, and she did not know what to say to him, she just blocked him on whatsapp and on facebook.
On whatsapp to Nompilo
Vuyo: girl, I hope Syabonga does not turn out to be a two timing liar like Sfiso, yho. I can’t believe he did that. What a smooth talker!
Mpilo: Now I am afraid too friend, but I do not have any suspicions you know, he (Sya) is always available when I need him and I honestly cannot say there is anything that makes me think of him that way.
Vuyo: Maybe he is one of the few. Anyway, how is the g2g coming up?
Mpilo: Actually, it is not looking so great, but Neli is determined to make it happen, I also want to go even if it is just the four of us (you, me, Neli, and Ntuthu)
Vuyo: totally my friend, I am sure by next weekend I will be okay, I mean it is not like I already loved Sfiso or anything, so whatever.
Mpilo: actually, Sindy (another girl from Pretoria who has also been with them when they started the whatsapp group) sent me private message, she was saying she is concerned about how people seem to have lost interest of our g2g, and I told her you and I will be there raining or storming, then she said I must count her in
Vuyo: oh, that is good then, at least now there are 5 people that we are sure of.
Mpilo: what if Sfiso comes? Will you be okay?
Vuyo: hayi suka, he does not own me I will be okay.
Two days before June 16 (Saturday) Neli and Mpilo wanted everyone to confirm that they were going or not so they could put proper arrangements into place. So they asked them on the whatsapp group
Vuyo could not see Sfiso’s messages, but Mpilo updated her about what he had said
Mpilo: Guys, we need the number of people who will be going to the park this weekend, so everyone still on?
Sfiso: I am not coming.
(No one responded to him and he actually left the group)
Musa: Guys, my mom just came here for a check-up. I will be taking her over the weekend, so I will not make it
Lindiwe: My shift is on, on Saturdy guys, I will not be able to come
Syabonga: I am going to Kzn this weekend guy, there is a funeral in my family
Everyone else except the 5 ladies had an excuse. So then Neli just created another group with just the 5 of them, and they made their proper arrangements. The 5 of them were excited that they would meet for the first time. Sindy had not met any of them. Neli had met only Ntuthu because they lived together and Mpilo had met Vuyo. They did admit that it would have been great if all the others were to come as well, but whatever.
Episode 8 – The get together
On whatsapp group with the 5 girls, on Friday afternoon before thee g2g on Saturday
Sindy: Guys I don’t want to lie, I am really excited that I am going to meet all of you. Please don’t mind me, I am really shy neh?
Vuyo: Hahahaha, I am excited too, and you know what? We don’t need to be a lot, we can do it even if it is just the 5 of us guys
Ntuthu: Guys, if there is alcohol I am sorted, I don’t care how many we are
Neli: Guys let’s talk transport, any of you driving?
Sindy: Not me guys, I don’t have a car.
Vuyo: Me neither
(none of them had cars)
Neli, okay, since we are going to a park not far from where I live, I will organise transport. I and Ntuthu know this guy that can take us if we give him petrol money. He is really cool and can even wait for us there so we will not have to worry when we need to return.
Mpilo: That is great Neli, let us know how it goes
Neli: Ntuthu is calling him right now
Ntuthu: he will help us guys, we just need to give him R100 for return. I told him there is 5 of us. He said it is not a problem, we will all fit
Vuyo: I will see you guys tomorrow, we meeting at 11, around Neli’s place, right?
Mpilo: yes that is right.
The following day was very exciting, Mpilo and Vuyo had met the previous weekend and did their shopping together, so they were pretty confident and knowing that they had each other was all they needed. Neli was the kind of girl that was well known in the group, she was high opinionated and a lot of people valued her opinion. So that made Vuyo and Nompilo feel rather inferior to meet her. They did not know what she (Neli) was going to be like in person.
Ntuthu did not post a lot in the group, but she was always commenting, especially on posts about alcohol. She seemed like a person who was always laughing and rarely got angry about anything. She juslt loved getting drunk.
Sindy was just member of the group. Whenever people were talking nonsense that did not matter, she would always be there, she did not seem like she knew how to be serious, she just joked around more often. Vuyo and Mpilo were looking forward to meet all those 3 girls. In a few hours they would have met them.
Mpilo and Vuyo met first before going to Neli’s place. Sindy arrived early and they all met; before going to the park went to buy meat and wine. They all pitched in 120 each and that was going to cover food, transport and wine.
Vuyo got a call from Musa
Musa: hello, how are you?
Vuyo: I am okay, how can I help you?
Musa: Did you guys go to the g2g?
Vuyo: You should have come so you would not have to ask me.
Musa: I am serious, who came?
Vuyo: *puts the phone on hold and spoke to Mpilo, whispering* It is Musa, he wants to know who is here
Mpilo: Ah, he should have come, give him here *grabbing the phone and un-holding the call*
Mpilo: (loudly) Ya Musa, are you going to come or you are going to harass us the whole day?
Ntuthu: (gazing at Mpilo) is that Musa? That idiot, give him here
Mpilo: No I am still talking to him
Neli: (Shouting) hello Musa, you are missing out, I hope you are enjoying the funeral
*all the girls laughed loudly, and then Mpilo hung up and gave the phone back to Vuyo*
Neli: So why did Lindiwe not come? Is it because she had no one to guard since her man is not here?
Vuyo: I think she said she was working
Ntuthu: she is lying
Mpilo: I don’t think any of those guys are telling the truth. I mean what are the odds of them all having things to do today
Sindy: guys, I think we should just enjoy, at least the 5 of us made it
Ntuthu: Ya, let us just eat our meat and drink our wine. Let us just get drunk.
Even though none of them were shy and they were all outspoken, they were still not free amongst each other. Even when they were having wine, they were still holding back. They spoke about the group wall and the people there, laughed at the jokes that had been made. Spoke about their virtual relationships, laughed about how Neli and Mpilo had a virtual fight over Syabonga, since there were both his virtual girlfriends.
Even thought it was a bit tense, they were having fun, before they knew it, it was dark; it was time to go, they still had on bottle of wine that was still unopened. They all said it was hard to leave, who was going to take the remaining bottle as they all chipped for it? As it became darker it became even harder to say good bye.
“We can stay the whole night guys at our place” Neli and Ntuthu had agreed that if the girls did not mind they can stay overnight in their flat. It was dark anyway and there were some clubs next to Neli’s place, so they were going to go to one of them. The girls all agreed.
Let me mention that Syabonga had been calling Mpilo the whole day to check if they were still okay, so was Musa calling Vuyo. Vuyo and Mpilo thought nothing about that and just went on with their day. So the girls went and put their bags at Neli’s place and chilled for a bit, later went to a club. Then they went to sleep after midnight.
Episode 9
The following day, the ladies woke up. They all had slept on the same bed, when Vuyo woke up she felt more comfortable, she noticed that all the girls seemed less tense. Spending the night together seemed to make them bond. So Neli and Vuyo went to buy some quick breakfast for all of them to eat. And they were chatting joyfully while eating.
Vuyo: Guys when are we going to upload our photos on UZK?
Mpilo: most of them are in my phone, I don’t have BIS now, but I will load as soon as I get home
Neli: Give me your phone, I would not like to see the pictures where I am ugly being uploaded
Sindy: hahahahahaha, yhu, those people would tear us apart if we showed them ugly photos, let us really pick the ones to upload.
They all looked at their phones and showed each other which ones were great. Musa called Vuyo. Vuyo showed Mpilo that is was him. “What are you too whispering about? Is it your man calling? Hahahaha you will be in trouble, where have you been the whole night” Ntuthu said jokingly. Vuyo laughed shyly and ignored the call.
Neli: Hahahahaha, guys do you remember when Fikiswa was angry and she said she was going to cut off some guy’s penis?
Neli was sitting next to Sindy on the bed, by the top edge. Vuyo was sitting at the bottom edge and Mpilo was sitting on a chair next to Vuyo. Ntuthu was busy going up and down next to them, and sometimes she would just stand, but she was within an ear shot and could hear everything and even answer.
Sindy and Ntuthu laughed at what Neli was saying about Fikiswa as they seemed to remember the post. Vuyo was a bit shocked because Fikiswa is the one whom had told her (Vuyo) about Sfiso. She just felt her heart beating fast. Mpilo just smiled while she pulled out her hand and put it on Vuyo for some secrete comfort.
Sindy: What was that about? I had a feeling she was just lying and wanted comments
Ntuthu: It was true, those UZK guys could do that to you, I promise you.
Mpilo: Yhoo, serious? People do have relationships outside the group?
Neli: yeap, they do. And it gets ugly. This other guy told me that they have us all on check and it is their mission to get through all of us
Mpilo: *sigh*
Vuyo: Through all of us? How?
Neli: Ah, like you know. It is like they have a list; for example, the guys from GP know all of us and it is kind of their mission to make sure that we get laid by guys from the group, at least once
Vuyo: *Eyes opened wide, she pulled Mpilo’s chair so that Mpilo was right in front of her, then she held her on the shoulders. She could feel Mpilo’s heart beat going really fast*
Sindy: I don’t believe that
Neli: well it is true, I have a screen munch of all the girls that have already been ‘checked’
Vuyo: *mouth open wide* how can you be sure the list is real?
Neli: I am not sure, but it is there. You are on the list Vuyo, Mpilo too. And you Sindy, you are the most recent one. Other girls too, Lindiwe, Nontokozo, Lethu and others. Those are just the ones here in GP(PTA and JHB). Not to mention others from other cities.
Nompilo: *very softly and almost out of breath* what about you? Are you on the list too?
Neli: well, I can’t say that. All I know is that the UZK guys are bad news, all of them
Ntuthu: I know too. I am on that list as well. Not that I care
Sindy: I don’t believe this, who are these guys?
Neli: Arh, you could just say all of them, but to count a few, Syabonga is suspected
Ntuthu: *cutting in*, that son of a b*tch
Neli: *continuing*, Musa too. There are little rumours about Sfiso checking GP girls too, all the way from NW, I am not surprised. I have met him so many times here in Pretoria
Mpilo: *lets out a louder sigh*
Neli: I must confess though, I was shocked to learn that you two (Vuyo and Mpilo) are on that list, I still do not believe it.
Sindy: What about me? Hahahaha. Were you not shocked when you saw me on the list?
Neli and Ntuthu laughed. Vuyo and Mpilo forced laughter too.
Neli: I could tell you a lot guys, I have seen things
Mpilo: *another loud sigh*
Vuyo: I had no idea, so all of them? I mean all the guys do it?
Neli: I can’t say all of them, but I would not be surprised. I have met most of them. Musa and his crew come visit us every once in a while.
Ntuthu: That Syabonga is such an a$$ hole, hahahahaha. No but no jokes though, he is a d*ck.
Sindy: Why do you keep swearing at him like that?
Ntuhu: He is a liar, and I know that he is seeing either Vuyo or Mpilo, am I lying?
Vuyo: Eh? How would you know that?
Ntuthu: Just suspicions, but whatever, it is not a big deal.
At some point the ladies managed to change the topic, there was great tension, Mpilo could hardly say a word, Vuyo pretended to be okay and tried to talk. Neli and Ntuthu seemed okay, Sindy looked okay too, even though she would seem buried in her thoughts at times.
On her way home Vuyo had to text to Mpilo, and Mpilo had already sent a whatsapp to her (Vuyo)
Episode 10
Mpilo: I don’t believe Neli, do you think she was telling the truth?
Vuyo: I don’t know, but she sure seemed like she knew a lot. I am so shocked, I still feel shaky just thinking about it.
Mpilo: And why did Ntuthu keep swearing at Sya like that? Do you think maybe they are going out? OMG
Vuyo: I noticed as well and she seemed bitter. I don’t know
Mpilo: I will ask Syabonga, I am sure he can shed some light
Vuyo: Do you think that is good idea? Maybe you should wait till we have this cleared.
Mpilo: Okay, I see. Yhoo I wish it was all not true
Vuyo: Well Musa did hit on me while he knew I know that he is with Lindiwe, then later denied he even knew her; and Sfiso did lie to me about Fikiswa.
Mpilo: I think I am going to cry.
Vuyo: You are still in the taxi, please get yourself together, and cry as much as you can when you get home. Who knows maybe it is not even true. Let us try not to get all worked up until we know what is going on for sure.
Vuyo tried to comfort Mpilo until they were both off their respective taxis and when they got home they were both sleepy so they stopped chatting. While Vuyo was trying to sleep she got a call from Musa
Vuyo: Hello Musa
Musa: Hey girl, how was the get together?
Vuyo: You should have been there
Musa: Did you sleep at your place? I came by yesterday to see how things went and you were not there
Vuyo: I thought you were taking care of your mother
Musa: Don’t change the subject, you slept at Neli’s place neh? What did she say?
Vuyo: It does not matter, I am very tired, I need to sleep, bye. *hung up*.
In the afternoon Neli sent a message on their WhatsApp group
Neli: Guys, I only realise now that what I said might have shocked you, but I just thought it was the right thing to do. I did not mean to hurt any of you.
Sindy: It is okay, Neli, if it is all true, then we need to figure it out, or maybe even warn others
Mpilo: I don’t believe it
Vuyo: What can we do guys?
Neli: Well, we can just be honest with each other right now, I really want to say this, more especially because I would not like for anyone to go through what I went through because of UZK guys, so I am just going to tell you everything that I know as I know it. It will be up to you what you do with that information. But you must promise me that whatever you do you must be honest. So we can all know exactly what is going on.
Vuyo: Well from what I heard today, you know a lot, so I don’t see a reason to not be honest, but let it be up to individuals. If umuntu unamahloni, then asikho isidingo sokuthi akhulume (if a person is shy then there is no need to speak out).
Mpilo: No, we must all just say what is going on, the more truth that is out, the better.
Vuyo thinking to herself *I was saying for her (Mpilo) sake, but if she is okay, then great*
Sindy: Neli tell us sisi, I also promise to be honest.
Ntuthu: Neli knows my story, she will just tell you, I am kind of busy right now, if there are any questions I will answer later, but all of you must know that Syabonga is a dog.
Mpilo: Why do you say that? What did he do?
*there were no messages coming in for a few minutes, Mpilo chat to Vuyo on the side*
Mpilo: I spoke to Sya about Ntuthu, I know I had agreed not to, but I just could not go on like that
Vuyo: Yhoo, and what did he say?
Mpilo: He said he once saw Ntuthu and lied to me about it because he did not want to confuse me and raise unnecessary questions
Vuyo: So do you know why is Ntuthu so angry at him?
Mpilo: He said he once proposed her and during that time they both discovered that they are related, izithakazelo zabo ziyafana (their clan names are the same) so they did not go on with anything.
Vuyo: So why would she be so angry?
Mpilo: I don’t know, I think Sya is hiding something from me and I am starting to believe everything Neli said.
Vuyo: Let us just hear what she has to say and let’s be honest, who knows what else we may discover. If you ask me, this is all scary, but I want to get to the bottom of it.
Mpilo: I will be so hurt if Syabonga turns out to be the player that Neli claims he is. Oh look, Neli just sent a message in our group, let us go check it out.

The post went on, the 5 girls did not comment on it. Other people commented, most people doubting there was any g2g, Musa and Sfiso did not comment

Neli: Guys you know that Lindiwe is dating Musa right? And the reason she did not come was not only because Musa was not going to be there, she was probably afraid to face me as well... That is where my story begins

Sindy: I am, listening
Vuyo: Me too
Mpilo: Did you date Musa?
Neli: Hahahahaha Nompilo, just wait, I will get through everything. Anyway yes I dated Musa. We had been going out for about 3 months already. Then just before the get together he started telling me that maybe I should not go to the get together, in fact him and Syabonga were telling us (me and Ntuthu) that we should not go, and that the four of us would just chill.
So we told them we were going to go whether they liked it or not, then around that time Lindiwe sent me a random inbox telling me how she is dating Musa and that the reason she is going to the g2g is because she just wanted to guard him, hahahaha. I was so shocked when she told me that. I thought she was just phishing for news and did not believe they were actually dating.
I told her she was lying and she asked why I said that, I saw no reason to lie and I was starting to get suspicious, so I told her it is because Musa was my bf and we had been dating for months. She also said I was lying and that she started going out with him a few weeks back.
I told her we must just ask the guy and we created a WhatsApp group with him and he admitted to going out with us both, after he did I left the WhatsApp group and told Lindiwe that I was leaving the guy and that she should do the same. I told her about the rumours I heard of all of us getting played, she said she understood. But I know for fact she did not break up with him.
I liked Musa a lot ad he had been able to lure me into his lie and what happened hurt me a lot, but I am stronger than that and I was not about to let his cruelty get in my way of living. So I am thinking that - the same things could happening with all of you guys with the other men as well… That is my story…
Vuyo: OMG! I don’t believe it, you were dating Musa?
Mpilo: Whoooow, that is super scary!
Sindy: To think that Musa was proposing me about a month ago and I did not accept him because I am dating Madoda.
Neli: You are with Madoda? Yhooo!
Vuyo: Madoda? The one who lives in Durban? The one who always asks questions and say nasty stuff?
Sindy: Yes, him. I always thought he was just being silly in the group since we all act crazy anyway on that wall, now after what Neli had said I am wondering what he has in his closet.
Neli: I know a lot about him too Sindy, but I can’t say because it involves other people.
Vuyo: Neli, you said Musa and Syabonga wanted to be with you and Ntuthu, why was that? Is Sya with Ntuthu?
Mpilo: *waiting for an answer*
Neli: Yes, they had been on and off. They started dating around the same time I started with Musa, after a while they discovered that they have the same clan name. I told Ntuthu to break up with him and she agreed. But after a while I discovered that they had not broken up and still dating. Then there were rumours that Vuyo or Mpilo was dating Siyabonga. When we heard that we asked Syabonga and he said you guys (Vuyo and Mpilo) were spreading those rumours because you were getting back at him for something. That was why they did not want us to meet you guys in the g2g because apparently you are a bad influence.
Mpilo: That is so funny because they told me and Vuyo the same thing about you guys, they said you were bad news. They also did not want us to go meet you guys. Oh, I am dating Syabonga and I still cannot believe he would do this. He told me he never dated Ntuthu after they found out they were related.
Sindy: Yhooo! What a bunch of jerks!
Vuyo: Guys, mina I dated Sifiso, I also fell for his lies, Fiki tried to warn me about him and I went on anyway because he charmed me. Later I found out he was dating Fiki for real and I blocked him. Musa on the other hand tried to sleep with me, it was around the time you are saying you were breaking up with him. I did not sleep with him though, I refused because I already knew about Lindiwe since she had told me. I guess she (Lindiwe) was going around telling everyone, she must have been so excited.
Neli: Sifiso wanted me too around the same time I was dating Musa, but it did not last and he ended up telling me about you Vuyo, and that you wanted him and so on… I kind of knew you guys were dating but I did not know much about him till now.
Sindy: Wow, so Fikiswa was speaking about him (Sifiso) when she was angry?
Vuyo: Maybe, but you never know, a lot of things are coming up.
Ntuthu: Neli, don’t twist the story, you make it sound like I wanted Syabonga. He was the one who came after me even though he knew we were related.
Neli: But you still agreed, even though you knew too
Ntuthu: Well, I liked him and to be honest, he is good in bed. How could I resist? Ask Nompilo, I am sure she can agree with me
Mpilo: True guys, he really is good. Hahahahahaha.
*no serious messages came after this and they spoke about uploading their photos, they all agreed that they would upload them the following day.*

Mpilo: It is so hard to believe all those things, but everything makes so much sense now. I am so hurt. I have blocked Syabonga
Vuyo: I am sorry girl, these things happen. I hope you will be strong enough to get through all of this
Mpilo: You know what though? I have a feeling that Ntuthu is just bitter because Syabonga does not want her anymore and now she just wants me to break up with him as well
Vuyo: Are you telling me you do not believe all of that?
Mpilo: I know it is true, but I think it is exaggerated so to make me feel bad
Vuyo: Come on girl, it is not about you. We have all been hurt by these guys. They lied to all of us. Please don’t go back to Sya
Mpilo: I am not an idiot, I won’t go back
Vuyo: I believe you my dear, and I trust you.
The following day, Mpilo uploaded the photos that they all had agreed to. A lot of people were so impressed and could not stop complimenting them and reminding them that it was the first g2g ever to come out of that group. Even though it looked unsuccessful because there were only 5 of them and all girls, it was still better than nothing. Most people who were impressed were the other girls.
Syabonga might have pressed like on one photo and commented once on the other. Musa commented on most of them talking about how brave all those girls are. Sfiso too was there agreeing with Musa. Madoda was just complimenting them on how beautiful they are. He was also amongst people who were really impressed. Fikiswa sent an inbox to Neli which she (Neli) shared with the others; Fikiswa was also complimenting them and wishing them all the best and that may they not drop the ball now that all the eyes were on them.
The girls were the talk of the group for days, they even got a nickname “Go-Getters” because of their courage not to give up even though a lot of people bailed out. They (the girls) also did not stop speaking on WhatsApp, not about boys but other general stuff.

Neli: Can you tell me what is happening with Syabonga and Nompilo?
Vuyo: Why?
Neli: Just wondering, there is something bothering me
